Lawyer on Sony Hack: 'Pearl Harbor Attack on First Amendment'
Does the Sony hack and the United States’ response signal a watershed moment for the nation?
Megyn Kelly asked Harvard Law professor and constitutional lawyer Alan Dershowitz that question tonight.
Dershowitz called it “the Pearl Harbor attack on the First Amendment.”
“The head of North Korea did something no American president can do,” he said. “He censored an American film based on its content.”
Dershowitz said this situation marks the beginning of a cyber-war, which could go on indefinitely. He said that the only reason that the U.S. can’t go after North Korea is because it has nuclear weapons, adding that this is a lesson about Iran.
“They are holding our freedoms hostage,” he said of North Korea, adding that the U.S. must figure out how to deal with this.
