Rev. Franklin Graham was on “The Kelly File” tonight, where he discussed what he calls a growing hostility toward Christmas.

“You have the secularist and humanist who are wanting to take Jesus Christ out of his birthday, and they’re wanting to deny that he ever existed. They want to take his name out of everything […] this has infiltrated now our government. And our government is attacking Christmas, it is not only attacking Christmas but the name of Christ.”

Megyn Kelly asked: What are we to make of a world of in-your-face sexuality, while a nativity scene is deemed too offensive?

“We are glorifying sin, and people have got to understand that God takes sin seriously,” he said.

Graham urged Christians to defend their rights, cautioning that if they don't, they'll lose them.

He also told Kelly about "Operation Christmas Child," run by his group, Samaritan's Purse. Hear more about that in the video above.

UPDATE, 12/11: A previous version of this article incorrectly stated that Pittsburgh replaced Christmas with "Sparkle Day." Megyn Kelly reported tonight that this is no longer the case.
