O'Reilly Slams De Blasio's 'Amazing Insult to the NYPD'
In tonight’s Talking Points Memo, Bill O’Reilly charged New York Mayor Bill de Blasio with “putting all residents in jeopardy by alienating his own police department for political reasons.”
According to O’Reilly, de Blasio “continues to denigrate his cops.”
De Blasio spoke out following the news that Officer Daniel Pantaleo would not be indicted in the death of Eric Garner.
“The relationship between police and community has to change […] people need to know that black lives and brown lives matter as much as white lives,” de Blasio said.
O’Reilly remarked, “What an amazing insult to the NYPD.”
“The Factor” host said that many police officers despise de Blasio because they think he does not support them. O’Reilly called it a “recipe for disaster” that the police don’t support de Blasio.
O’Reilly also speculated that “excessive force may have been used” in the Garner death, calling it a “police overreaction.”
