NFL Player Gives up $37.5M Contract to Harvest for the Hungry
Former NFL star Jason Brown gave up a lucrative football career to spend his life on a different field – a farm in North Carolina.
Brown had a $37.5 million contract with the St. Louis Rams before being released in 2012. Instead of playing for another team, he chose to give up football and now harvests food for the hungry.
"My agent [...] said, 'You're making the biggest mistake of your life.' And I looked right back at him, I said, 'No I am not,'" Brown said.
Brown said he has never felt more successful, "not in man standards, but in God's eyes."
In an interview, he revealed that he learned to farm through YouTube videos!
