Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer is making headlines for saying that ObamaCare focused on the “wrong problem.”

Charles Krauthammer weighed in on this tonight.

“The essence of Schumer’s cynicism is precisely that he’s identifying what was wrong with ObamaCare, and then saying it was a terrible thing, not because it’s bad for the country but because its gonna work against Democratic parties and interests,” he said.

Krauthammer said that Schumer is now accepting the argument that Republicans made originally because he sees that ObamaCare is hurting his party.

“He is repeating precisely the arguments that conservatives and Republicans had made at the time of Obamacare, where we argued that it was against the interests of the country to jeopardize the health insurance of the over 80 percent of Americans who liked it and for whom it was working.”
