Brown Family Attorney Urges Protesters to Be Peaceful, Nonviolent
Brown family attorney Benjamin Crump went “On The Record” ahead of the announcement of the grand jury’s decision, expected tonight at 9p ET.
Crump said the family is nervous as they await the decision. He described it as “an emotional rollercoaster.”
The family will be notified of the decision before officials make the announcement, Crump explained.
Crump said that the family wants people to be peaceful and nonviolent when the decision is announced.
“We understand the frustration. Nobody could be more frustrated than his mother and his father, but if they can exercise their constitutional rights in a peaceful way, everybody else should. The Ferguson community is doing it, so all these people who are coming from outside, we want them to follow the example of the Ferguson community and be nonviolent.”
