Ex-CEO Indicted in 2010 W.V. Mine Blast Which Killed 29 Workers
A grand jury has indicted the man who oversaw a West Virginia mine which exploded in 2010, killing 29 coal miners.
Former Massey Energy CEO Don Blankenship is charged with conspiracy to violate mine safety and health standards, along with conspiracy to impede safety officials and lying to the Securities and Exchange Commission, along with securities fraud.
If convicted, he could face 31 years in prison.
