Outrageous WWII Vet Beaten and Robbed in His Home
A World War II veteran was beaten and robbed in his Florida home by a man who had followed him home from a 7-Eleven.
"As soon as I opened the door he got me in a chokehold," said 85-year-old William Hunter, who then had a message for the robber.
"I hope they find him and then I would ask them, could you put me in a room alone with this guy?"
Police are using the 7-Eleven surveillance video in their investigation.
The suspect stole $300 and is still at-large.
Hunter told Orlando's WOFL-TV that he couldn't sleep, so he went out to the convenience store at about 2:30am.
He said the suspect saw that he was carrying the cash as he paid.
