A Hurricane Katrina survivor is lending a paw to the same organization that saved his life.

The Arizona Humane Society found Boots the dog in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. He was named Boots for the severe burns on his paws.

Nobody claimed Boots following the hurricane. But now, he has a new home and a very important job as a kitten nanny at the Arizona Humane Society shelter.

Bretta Nelson, of the Arizona Humane Society, called Boots a “gentleman” who teaches the kittens so much.

“He’s kind of a kitten whisperer," she said.
