Huckabee: Terrorism 'Doesn't Get Better With Age'
Mike Huckabee was on “Your World” today, where he weighed in on the administration’s plan to send 1,500 more troops to Iraq and its request for $5.6 billion to continue the fight against ISIS.
President Barack Obama says the troops won’t have an active combat role.
Huckabee said it’s disingenuous to say that troops won’t be in a combat role because they will be in a war zone.
“At least the president recognizes that what he is doing with ISIS has simply failed, and that’s a start,” Huckabee said.
Huckabee stressed that the Middle East needs to own up to the fact that this situation is in their neighborhood. He said Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar should put boots on the ground because “ours are just stinking worn out.”
Still, Huckabee said it’s unrealistic for the U.S. to not be involved in region.
“It doesn’t get better with age. This isn’t cheese, this isn’t beef. It’s not wine. This is terrorism, and the more it goes unchecked and unfettered, the worse it gets.”
