Authorities say a man accused of killing his girlfriend and posting photos of her corpse online has turned himself into police.

David Kalac, 33, is accused of strangling and beating his girlfriend Amber Coplin in their home, just west of Seattle.

He then allegedly posted several photos of her dead body to the website 4Chan, with the caption, “Turns out it’s way harder to strangle someone to death than it looks in the movies.”

The crime scene was a grisly one, with investigators reporting that the word “dead” was written on her driver’s license. On the window blinds, it said “bad news,” and on a wall painting were the words, “she killed me first.”

Coplin’s teenage son found his mother’s body. He said he heard the couple fighting in the hours before her death. Witnesses say they heard a loud argument, banging and thumping.

Last night, an officer was on patrol when Kalac walked out of a wooded area in Oregon and told the officer that there was a warrant out for his arrest.

Kalac has a long criminal history of assault, burglary and driving under the influence.

His bail is set at $2 million.
