Fox News contributor Kirsten Powers weighed in on the balance of power tonight as polls closed across the nation.

Republicans have picked up a seat in the Senate with Shelley Moore Capito, who has won the Senate race in West Virginia. Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) has also kept his seat.

“It’s not looking very good for Democrats, I think Democrats are starting to get a little bit alarmed,” Powers said.

She added that the race wasn’t even close in Kentucky, and it doesn’t reflect the polling.

“That suggests that the Democrats’ understanding of what’s going on on the ground […] is not gonna be reflected in reality,” she said.
