Kansas Senate candidate Greg Orman (I) maintained Tuesday that he has made no decision on whether he will caucus with Democrats if he defeats Republican Sen. Pat Roberts.

Vice President Joe Biden made headlines Tuesday afternoon when he said, "And, you know, we have a chance of picking up an independent who will be with us in the state of Kansas."

Orman was asked on "Fox and Friends" earlier in the day which party he would caucus with if he wins.

"I'm not going there to represent the Democratic Party or the Republican Party. I'm going there to represent Kansans," said Orman, adding that both Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid are "far too partisan."

Orman's campaign reiterated that point after Biden's remark, adding that Orman has "never spoken to the vice president in his life."
