If Larry Sabato’s Crystal Ball is right, Republicans could be having a Grand Old Party tonight.

Sabato was on “Your World” this afternoon, where he revealed that two states could be early indicators in the Senate race: New Hampshire and North Carolina.

Sens. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) and Kay Hagan (D-N.C.) currently hold Senate seats. Sabato said that Democrats have considered these two to be their “firewall” and didn’t think they’d have to worry about them. But Sabato said those two races have gotten very close.

“If you see even one of those two states go Republican – and they’re some of the first to report on the East Coast – […] you don’t want to break out the champagne on the Republican side but you can certainly make sure that it’s cool,” Sabato said.
