In tonight’s “Off the Record” commentary, Greta Van Susteren weighed in on the release of Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi from a Mexican prison.

“It has been a long haul, something that should not have taken 214 days, but should have taken two days,” she said.

Van Susteren said the Marine is lucky to have a great mom, a good friend in Montel Williams, and supportive “On The Record” viewers.

But Van Susteren said she worries about other veterans who are also suffering tonight because we may have overlooked them.

“Let this be a reminder to all of us […] if you know a vet who might be in trouble or just hurting or being lonely, make a phone call. Sometimes even a two-minute phone call to someone to say thank you can make a huge difference.”
