Ohio Girl Says She's Being Bullied for Donating Hair to Charity
A 10-year-old Ohio girl says she is being bullied after she cut her hair to donate it to charity.
Jetta Fosberg, 10, of Dayton, donated 14 inches of her hair to Wigs for Kids, an organization which makes wigs for children with cancer.
Students at Pathway School of Discovery then allegedly began bullying Jetta over her new haircut, calling her ugly and saying that she wants to be a boy.
Her mother Heidi Fosberg said she approached the school’s principal about it, but he told her the girl needs to toughen up.
“I’m disappointed that it wasn’t taken seriously, and I don’t really know who to trust anymore,” Jetta said.
School officials say they’re investigating the incident.
