'Higher Ed Shouldn't Be a Privilege': Hillary Clinton Gets $225K For UNLV Speech
Hillary Clinton spoke at a UNLV Foundation fundraiser last night about the high costs of higher education, but she was paid a pretty penny for her words.
“Higher education shouldn’t be a privilege to those able to afford it. It should be an opportunity widely available for anyone with talent, determination and ambition to learn,” Clinton said.
The former secretary of state’s speaking fee for the event was $225,000, which will reportedly go to the Clinton Global Initiative.
The hosts of “The Five” weighed in on this tonight. They also discussed Jon Stewart’s slamming of President Barack Obama and Democrats for hypocrisy on money in politics.
