Cruz: U.S. Campaign Against ISIS 'Driven By Political Operatives'
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) four weeks ago blasted President Barack Obama’s ISIS strategy as “fundamentally unserious.” Tonight, he returned to “The Kelly File,” where he charged Obama’s foreign policy as one which focuses on photo-ops and press releases.
“Our objective here should be to take ISIS out, but instead this seems to be a campaign driven by political operatives and political mandates in the White House rather than clear military objectives tied to our national security,” he said.
Cruz also discussed the death of Dallas Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan and the threat of Ebola. The Texas senator said that the top concern should be to protect the American people.
“The first line of defense should be to prevent that terrible virus from coming here,” he said, adding that the first line of defense has now failed at least once.
