‘We’re Going to Find Out Why’: Authorities Probe Motive in OK Beheading
Sgt. Jeremy Lewis, of the Moore County Sheriff’s Office, went “On The Record” tonight to discuss the horrific workplace beheading in Moore, Okla.
Authorities say 30-year-old Alton Nolen beheaded one woman and stabbed a second at Vaughan Foods shortly after being fired. The company COO Mark Vaughan, who is also a reserve deputy, then shot Nolen.
Lewis said that Nolen is in the hospital, coming out of sedation. He said officers are there, waiting to interview him. His second victim is also expected to live.
According to Lewis, there were multiple reasons for Nolen’s termination. He said that the weapon was a produce knife used in the factory.
Local police have involved the FBI in the case to find a motive.
“We are going to find out why,” Lewis told Greta Van Susteren.
