‘Left Work a Hero’: Sheriff Speaks Out About COO Who Shot Beheading Suspect
Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel was on “The Kelly File” to tell Megyn about the hero in the Oklahoma workplace beheading.
Whetsel, who was on the scene yesterday, is also the boss of Vaughan Foods COO and reserve deputy Mark Vaughan, who authorities say shot beheading suspect Alton Nolen.
“He went to work as a [COO] of the company and he left work that evening as a hero,” Whetsel said.
Whetsel said he has been in regular contact with Vaughan and that he has spoken with a counselor following the traumatic event.
When asked whether he believes this murder is related to Islam, Whetsel said he doesn’t really have any information, as he isn’t involved in the investigative stages.
