Hundreds of thousands of climate activists - including Leonardo DiCaprio and Al Gore - marched through the streets of New York City yesterday to sound the alarm on climate change.

Unfortunately, they left piles of trash and a massive carbon footprint, and the resulting clean-up is going to cost a fortune.

On "The Five" today, Greg Gutfeld said yesterday's protest was not actually about climate change, but capitalism.

"It had nothing to do with the environment," Gutfeld asserted. "What this is is using the environment as a tool to denigrate the world's greatest system: American capitalism."

"There was such a mess," Kimberly Guilfoyle said, noting the hypocrisy of climate protesters trashing the city. "I have never seen, in all the parades, this kind of mess."

"At least throw away your garbage. Practice what you preach."

"There is nothing wrong with caring about the environment," Gutfeld said. "This has been hijacked by a different group of people."
