Desperate Search Underway for Missing Texas Woman Last Seen a Week Ago
Christina Morris, 23, was last seen around 3 a.m. on Aug. 30 in a parking garage near a shopping center in Plano, Texas.
Surveillance video from the parking garage shows her and a friend walking to their cars after another friend's party to go their separate ways.
After Morris failed to show up at work the following day, family and friends realized she was missing.
Morris’ car was found in the parking garage, still locked, but there was no sign of her.
Police are searching for clues surrounding the mysterious disappearance.
The friend who was with her in the surveillance video is not being treated as a person of interest.
"It's the most horrifying thing that could ever happen," Morris' sister, Sarah Estes, said. "We're just trying to stay positive and hang in there and huddle together."
Neither friends nor family have heard from Morris since that day, and her cellphone is no longer working. ABC News reported that Morris’ last 15 phone calls went to her boyfriend, who never reported her missing, according to the woman’s parents.
According to MyFoxDFW.com, Plano Police investigators said they are investigating the case as a suspicious disappearance and haven’t ruled out any potential suspects.
"No matter what scenario, I know you're strong and if you're somewhere you don't want to be -- keep fighting -- because I promise you we aren't going to give up," said Morris' mom Jonni McElroy.
Morris is described as having brown hair with blonde highlights, and is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs about 95 pounds.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Plano Police Department at (972) 424-5678.
