Poll: 68% of Americans Would Outlaw Pre-Teens Going to the Park Unsupervised
Is it appropriate for young children to play at the park alone? According to a Reason Magazine poll, 68 percent of Americans believe there should be a law prohibiting kids ages 9 and under from playing at the park unsupervised.
Additionally, 43 percent support a law that would prohibit the same for kids 12 and younger.
We recently told you about several cases involving parents who were arrested for allowing their children to go to the park alone.
Last month, a Florida mother was arrested on a felony charge after she let her 7-year-old son walk by himself to the park.
