‘You Can’t Play Games’: Ben Carson Talks Dealing With ISIS, Possible 2016 Run
Dr. Ben Carson was on “The O’Reilly Factor” tonight, where Bill O’Reilly asked him about a possible 2016 presidential run.
Carson won a straw poll in Iowa this week, with 62 percent of the vote.
O’Reilly pressed Carson on his lack of political experience. Carson told “The Factor” host that while he hasn’t spent a lot of time in government, he believes wisdom and understanding are more important.
Carson pointed to complex operations he has performed – some of which had never been done before – and explained how they required pulling people together and coordinating with others who knew things that he didn’t.
O’Reilly said he will also need to defeat Putin, China and ISIS, calling the situations abroad “complicated waters.”
“When you’re dealing with an organization like ISIS whose stated goal is to destroy you, you can’t play with them, you can’t just drive them back to their little hole and let them regroup and come back out. You have to have a philosophy that you’re going to get rid of them and you have to use the means that are necessary in order to do that. You can’t play games.”
