Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes was on “Special Report” tonight, where Shannon Bream asked him if the Pentagon is considering sending additional military advisors to help the Yazidis in Iraq.

Rhodes said that the U.S. needs to figure out how to move the population off the mountain to a safe space and get them humanitarian assistance. He said a limited number of advisors could be deployed to “assess the situation.”

Rhodes explained that the long-term strategy in Iraq depends on getting a new government there that is inclusive and can help unify the country against ISIS.
