Huckabee: ‘We Don’t Want a Nation of Chicago-Style Gangster Politics’
“Harry Reid has turned the U.S. Senate into the roach motel,” Mike Huckabee said last night. “Bills go in, but they never come out.”
While President Barack Obama likes to demonize the GOP, Huckabee noted that the House passed 357 bills “that went to the Senate and disappeared faster than incriminating emails from Lois Lerner.”
Huckabee said that Americans must elect Republicans to majority status in the Senate in order to return America to being a nation of law.
“We don’t want a nation of Chicago-style gangster politics where those in power simply enforce the laws that they like and ignore the ones they don’t,” he said.
Huckabee cautioned that there is just one thing keeping the Republicans from taking majority status in the Senate – and that’s the Republicans themselves.
“If the GOP is determined to be a house divided, it will be a house destroyed,” he said.
