Police: 62-Year-Old Woman Successfully Sneaks Onto Flight to LAX
A woman playing “catch me if you can” with authorities was arrested after she successfully sneaked onto a Southwest Airlines flight without a ticket.
Marilyn Jean Hartman, 62, was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport after she boarded Southwest Airlines Flight 3785 at Mineta San Jose International Airport without a ticket. Hartman reportedly sneaked through security while TSA agents searched another family.
Personnel counted passengers upon landing and realized there were more people aboard than there were tickets sold.
Hartman has attempted ticketless travel six times this year and had previously been arrested three times. The first time, she boarded a plane but was caught when the actual ticket holder showed up. On the second and third times, she was caught in the security line.
Hartman has been charged with trespassing.
