Reporter to Obama: More Bothersome to Be Seen As Imperial President or Do-Nothing President?
During a news conference this evening, Barack Obama was asked whether it bothers him more to be accused of being an imperial president or a do-nothing president.
Obama stressed that he is bound by the Constitution and separation of powers in the action that he can take.
He said wherever he has the legal authority to help middle class Americans, he will “seize those opportunities.”
Still, he said, “My preference […] is to work with Congress.”
