Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) was on “Media Buzz,” where he discussed the media’s coverage of politics.

McCain said the media would have been harder on George W. Bush if he were president during the turmoil that’s going on today. He said commentators “continue to apologize and justify what is clearly a failed national security policy on this administration.”

While McCain said Jon Stewart isn’t fair to Republicans, he said it doesn’t matter because he’s a comedian.

“I frankly have no beef with late night comedians who make fun of politicians. That’s the nature of the business,” he said. However, McCain said he resents commentators who say things that are contradicted by the facts.
