‘Overwhelmed With Emotion’: Huddy Tours Gaza on ‘Bloodiest Day So Far’
John Huddy just reported live from Gaza City on the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
“Today was the bloodiest day so far,” he said, reporting that at least 84 Palestinians were killed, at least 60 of whom were in one neighborhood in east Gaza. Thirteen Israeli soldiers were killed overnight.
Hamas and Israel agreed to a brief, two-hour ceasefire for humanitarian reasons today.
Huddy toured the area, showing off homes destroyed by artillery fire and air strikes, as well as people being carried away on stretchers. He said he was "overwhelmed with emotion" by the scene.
