We are learning more about the American citizen killed in the Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 crash.

Quinn Lucas Schansman, 19, was on his way to a vacation in Bali when the plane was shot down.

Schansman held dual Dutch-American citizenship. He lived in New Jersey as a child and moved to the Netherlands when he was 5.

His grandfather said he was studying international business in Amsterdam.

“As a grandparent, you just hope that none of your children or the grandchildren will go before you, and now it has happened,” his grandfather, Ronald Schansman, said through tears.
