Immediately after news of the crash broke, Russian separatists and the Ukrainian government started directing blame at one another.

Now RT, a propaganda outlet for the Russian government, is charging that President Vladimir Putin’s plane might have been the target of the missile.

The television network says that the Russian president’s jet was traveling almost the same route as MH17.

“I can say that Putin’s plane and the Malaysian Boeing intersected at the same point and the same echelon. That was close to Warsaw on 330-m echelon at the height of 10,100 meters. The presidential jet was there at 16:21 Moscow time and the Malaysian aircraft - 15:44 Moscow time,” a source told the news agency on condition of anonymity.

Shepard Smith said, “RT is Vladimir Putin. RT is the Kremlin. RT reports those Ukranians might’ve been trying to hit Vladimir Putin.”

“Here’s what’s different this time. In the past his actions have been undercover. We’ve not been able to see what it was they were doing when they came in and took over Crimea. This time the European satellites are up in the air, the American satellites are in the air,” the Fox News host continued, “This time the world was watching. This time his lies won’t fly. This time, if Vladimir Putin is responsible, the world will know.”
