A Utah teenager fought off a man nearly twice her size who tried to kidnap her 12-year-old niece.

The teen, who asked that her identity not be released, said she hit the assailant after he tried to abduct her niece.

“As soon as I hit him, he dropped her and then he went into his vehicle, and when she was on the ground… I picked her up and started running,” she said.

The attempted kidnapper is still at large.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male who stands 5-feet, 11-inches tall and weighs about 235 pounds. He had a mustache and short, black hair. The man was driving a black Chevy Tahoe SUV with shiny rims that had black centers. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a maroon jersey and white shoes.
