GOOD NEWS Pint-Sized Sleuth Helps Foil Babysitter’s Alleged Burglary Plot
A pint-sized sleuth in Washington state foiled a robbery plot allegedly concocted by her own babysitter!
Abby Dean, 4, was with her 17-year-old babysitter on Wednesday, June 18, when two men broke into her home.
“Bad guys came in our house,” Abby explained to Clayton Morris today on “Fox and Friends.”
Police called Abby’s mom, Jennifer Dean, and told her to get to the local fire station immediately because the babysitter and children were there after a home invasion.
Abby’s babysitter of three months told police that the two suspects were armed African-American men, and said that one of the men looked like the next-door neighbor. Abby had a different story; she explained to police that the men who broke in were actually “peach-colored.”
The babysitter had allegedly been plotting the robbery for months, even making a list of items that she wanted. The robbers stole electronics, jewelry and even Abby’s kitty bank, which she has since gotten back.
“Are you going to grow up to be a detective or a police officer?” Morris asked Abby this morning.
“No, I’m going to be a veterinarian,” she told him.
