Dozens of people are receiving treatment after a portion of a 2-story detached garage collapsed in a residential neighborhood near Houston.

The extent of the injuries were not immediately clear but one fire official put the number of those injured at 40, Click2Houston.com reported.

A neighbor told the station that it appeared a religious celebration was going on in Katy, Texas. KRIV reports that a second-floor ceiling caved in.

Shep Smith said this afternoon that a Jainist celebration was reportedly being held and a religious leader was there from India.

Three hospitals are taking patients, including a children's hospital. There is one very serious head injury reported.
