Rep. Darrell Issa (D-Calif.) was on “The Kelly File” tonight, where he called for a “true, special, independent prosecutor” in the IRS scandal, but said that won’t happen on the president’s watch.

Issa said that lawmakers “have windows into Lois Lerner” that show she is a biased liberal who supported the president’s attempt to shut down conservative groups.

“It’s about time her attorney take back that statement she made, that perjured statement that she broke no laws, she broke no regulations. Of course she broke laws and of course she broke regulation, and we need to hold her accountable,” he said.

“We don’t want her in jail, we want the truth,” Issa said, explaining that lawmakers would grant her immunity if she would proffer.
