Attorney Cleta Mitchell, who represents one of the groups targeted by the IRS, was on “The Kelly File” tonight to discuss the missing Lois Lerner emails.

Lawmakers say that Lerner’s emails, as well as the emails of six other IRS employees, are missing.

“I absolutely think that there’s something crazy about this,” Mitchell said.

Mitchell recalled a “snippy” letter from Lerner’s attorney after Mitchell essentially asked her not to destroy anything.

“She basically wrote back and said, ‘Well, you don’t have to tell me my job.’ Well apparently we do have to tell them their job,” Mitchell said.

Mitchell called for the FBI to go in immediately to conduct an independent investigation and said she will be asking the court for permission to bring in independent forensic experts to access computers and hard drives.
