Wednesday, June 11: The victim in yesterday’s shooting at Reynolds High School in Oregon has been identified as 14-year-old Emilio Hoffman. Troutdale police say Hoffman was shot and killed inside the boy’s locker room. Hoffman, a soccer player, was one day shy of finishing his freshman year of high school. 

One student said, “I can’t accept the fact that he’s not going to be there anymore.”

Another remembered, “He’s not the kind of kid that you would want to hurt. He’s cool. He’s good at soccer. He’s a good friend.”

Physical Ed teacher Todd Rispler is being hailed as a hero after yesterday’s shooting. He was grazed by a bullet, but is said to be okay. The teenage shooter was found dead in the bathroom from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

UPDATE, 2:20p ET: The gunman and a victim are dead following a shooting at Reynolds High School in Troutdale, Oregon this morning. Police have confirmed to Fox News that the shooter was a male, though it’s not clear if he was a student at the school. The shooter’s body was located in a bathroom by a police robot. Trace Gallagher reported that he died by a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The victim was a male student who has not yet been identified.

A number of witnesses say the shooting began in the weight room near the gym. Students were told over the intercom that this was not a drill.

Student Tate Blaylock said, “We just heard two gunshots. Everyone was freaking out and we all ran into the weight room hallway, and we just hid and locked all the doors. There was just a bunch of gunshots everywhere.”

There are two full-time police officers on campus at all times and the school had an active shooter training drill earlier this year.

Students were evacuated to a second location nearby to be picked up by parents.

UPDATE, 1:00p ET: In addition to the gunman, one student was shot and killed in the school, police said.

UPDATE, 12:24p ET: Police confirm that the shooter is deceased and students are still being evacuated from the school.

Reynolds High School in Troutdale, Oregon is on lockdown after reports of gunfire. Police responded to the scene shortly after 8 a.m. local time.

The wife of a vice principal at the high school said she received a text message from her husband that there was an active shooter.

A spokesperson for Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center tells Fox News that the hospital hasn’t received official communication from its first responder teams on site, but they are currently in preparation mode.
