O’Reilly on Bergdahl Swap: President Again ‘Finds Himself in a Truth Controversy’
Bill O’Reilly tonight discussed the controversial Bergdahl swap in his Talking Points Memo.
O’Reilly said that this may turn out to be President Barack Obama’s biggest controversy, with a USA Today/Pew poll revealing that 43 percent believe the swap was wrong, while 34 percent say it was right.
Obama said that he made the swap because he thought Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl’s life was in danger, but American doctors say his health is fine.
“So once again, the president of the United States finds himself in a truth controversy,” O’Reilly remarked.
Meanwhile, O’Reilly said the far right is attacking anyone who raises questions about Bergdahl and his family, citing CNN host Brian Stelter’s criticism of O’Reilly’s Talking Points last week, as well as a New York Times piece that claimed Bergdahl’s unit was known for its troubles.
Col. David Hunt and former Spc. Cody Full, who served with Bergdahl, weighed in on the Talking Points Memo. Hear the memo and what they had to say in the video above.
