Charles Krauthammer tonight remarked on the controversy surrounding the Bowe Bergdahl swap.

"I'm not telling you that they don't have some ability at some point to go back and get involved [in fighting]. But they also have an ability to get killed doing that,” Secretary of State John Kerry said of the Bergdahl swap.

Krauthammer said the administration is trying to find reasons to justify the exchange other than saying it made a bad deal but had an obligation “to spring this last guy.”

He added, “Kerry and the others should try telling the truth, you know, it’s easier to memorize.”

Krauthammer also commented on Hillary Clinton’s book, which he said was a good launch because of the timing.

“What she’s trying to do is to insulate herself against certain charges,” he said, explaining that by addressing issues now, they likely won’t be an issue during the campaign.
