The House Armed Services Committee will hold its first hearing Wednesday on the Bergdahl deal.

Today on “Sunday Morning Futures,” Rep. Randy Forbes (R-Va.) discussed the swap with Maria Bartiromo.

“This is a president that always believes that the end justifies the means,” he said of Obama’s decision to not inform Congress of the swap.

Forbes noted that the five released Gitmo detainees never repented or apologized, saying that the statistics suggest they will go back to their old ways.

The Virginia congressman said the swap has “increased the price tag” of hostages and could even encourage terrorists to take more hostages.
