WATCH: 93-Year-Old Vet Parachutes Into Normandy for D-Day Anniversary
A 93-year-old veteran commemorated the 70th anniversary of D-Day by parachuting into Normandy, France.
Jim Martin first parachuted into France during World War II when he was just 23 years old. Thursday, he joined soldiers one-third of his age, parachuting into the same spot as he did 70 years earlier.
This time, he said the experience was a bit different.
“Nobody shooting at me […] it’s much nicer,” he said.
Martin said he’d love to do it again next year.
