The O’Reilly Factor received almost 200,000 signatures on a petition asking the Mexican government to release Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi from prison.

Tahmooressi was jailed after crossing the Mexican border with three firearms back in April. He claims he took a wrong turn and ended up at the border.

Jesse Watters went to the Mexican consulate in New York City to deliver the petition to Deputy Consul General Marcela Celorio. He was instead greeted at the entrance by Mexico Consulate Press Spokesman Carlos Gerardo Izzo.

After insisting that he hand deliver the petition to Celorio, she met with Watters and said she would send it to the appropriate authorities.

Tahmooressi’s new attorney plans on holding a press conference in Mexico next week.
