“Special Report” host Bret Baier was on “The O’Reilly Factor” tonight to discuss his new book.

“Special Heart” is the story of his 6-year-old son’s battle with heart problems. Paul was born with five congenital heart defects. He had open heart surgeries at 12 days old, 10 months old and again last September. He also had seven angioplasty procedures and a stomach surgery.

Baier told Bill O’Reilly that the genesis of the book were emails sent to family and friends about Paul. He and his wife decided to write the book so that it could be something to help people get through tough times.

The “Special Report” host also discussed the power of faith for his family during this difficult time.

“We were part-time Catholics at the beginning, and we’re full-time now,” Baier said.

Baier also weighed in on the EPA coal controversy. Hear what he had to say in the video above.
