Dana Perino was on “Fox and Friends” this morning to discuss White House Press Secretary Jay Carney’s resignation.

Perino was a press secretary herself under George W. Bush.

“There’s nothing like that relationship between a press secretary and a president, if it’s a good one,” she said.

“The Five” co-host said she has criticized partisanship from the podium, adding that a press secretary isn’t a DNC or an RNC spokesperson.

“You are the press secretary for the entire country, and that really matters,” she said.
