One college student is $10,000 richer this morning thanks to Fox News Channel. As part of the FNC College Challenge, students from across the U.S. submitted a video news package on the topic of their choice.

The winner, Seth Paxton, is only a freshman at Oklahoma State, and in addition to the big check he got a trip to Fox News and an appearance on Fox and Friends.

Steve Doocy congratulated him on becoming the first "one-man band" winner, since Paxton did the reporting and set up the camera on a tripod. Paxton reported on wind turbines in Oklahoma and their cost to American taxpayers.

He explained that he chose the topic because his own family has benefited by allowing wind turbine companies to use their land. Paxton said his story is meant to show how the issue is both outrageous from a taxpayer's standpoint, but also great for landowners.

Congratulations to Seth, who clearly has career options as he moves on with his remaining years of college. He doesn't even list broadcasting as his first career choice right now, saying energy law is what interests him most.
