House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) was on “Your World” this afternoon, where he discussed the president’s speech at West Point, the VA scandal and immigration reform.

Cantor called Obama’s West Point speech disappointing and said it fell short, adding that we need to reassure our allies and put fear in our foes.

The Virginia representative also touched on the VA scandal, which he said shows horrible mismanagement. He called it unacceptable and said the administration must get to the bottom of this.

“It’s time for this president to take ownership in this problem,” he said, adding that he was disturbed to hear that Obama first heard of the Phoenix scandal through the news.

“We have to be there for our veterans,” he said.

Cantor also discussed immigration reform and said there are aspects that both sides agree on, like border security. He called on the president to work to achieve the measures that both sides want rather than fixating on a comprehensive plan that includes amnesty.
