Fox News reporter and veteran Lea Gabrielle brought us an incredible story out of the Bronx, New York today. As part of Fleet Week, the Marine Corps are performing aerial demonstrations around New York City.

Earlier today, attack helicopters showed how they would clear a combat area before bringing a transport helicopter to drop off Marines.

On Thursday, Gabrielle flew with Marines in a CH-53 as it touched down in a high school baseball field. Students were able to get a firsthand look at how Marines set up a security perimeter.

Major Daniel Murphy described why doing these events is important for local communities.

He said, “Events like this help educate America … and the people who support us so much about what life is like in the military, what our job’s actually like.”
