Who said chivalry is dead? 10-year-old Austin Chaney charmed a lady at a Texas Rangers baseball game last week after giving her the foul ball that he caught at the game. Or so she thought!

USA Today reports that Chaney actually switched the foul ball with the one he already had:

Chaney told WFAA-TV in Dallas-Fort Worth that he sat in a prime spot near the field, so the third base coach was tossing balls to him.

He and a friend had a stash of balls already when the foul ball came his way.

"I was told if I got another ball, I should give it to someone else, so I turned around. ... I thought I was going to give it to someone deep down there, and I saw her right in front of me and I gave it to her," he said.

Chaney said he got a lot of attention Sunday at his own baseball game.

"The whole team was messing with me, like 'What's up, Hollywood?'" he said.

Although he's getting a reputation as being smooth with the ladies, his mom, Jenni Chaney, said, "If they only knew him. He trips over the wind blowing!

Austin and his mom, Jenny, joined Fox and Friends this morning. She says Austin gets his chivalrous spirit from his dad. "His dad is a really good guy."
