Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) was on “The Kelly File” to discuss the VA scandal.

He questioned why President Barack Obama hasn’t focused the same level of attention on the problems in the VA as he did with ObamaCare.

“He’s the CEO of the country […] he oughta have the same kind of interest in this as the ObamaCare website and the ObamaCare law in general,” he told Megyn Kelly.

McConnell said that the government has known for years that the VA backlog was enormous, adding that leadership must change.

“It is a management problem, not a money problem,” he said.

“These men and women have sacrificed for our country,” he said. “We promised them the best possible care. This is a promise that needs to be kept.”
